THIS IS MY STORY
I'm Yvonne, a Stanford undergrad majoring in Product Design and International Relations. I come from Ningbo, China, and completed IB at United World College Robert Bosch College in Freiburg, Germany. I am uniquely internationally-minded as I have worked closely with customers, investors, volunteers and other individuals from over ten countries. I specialize in human-centered design and design thinking. I hope to grow further as a UI/UX designer and user researcher.
I fell in love with entrepreneurship because my six-year-old brother was so “rebellious” that he refused to do anything my mom told him to do – including brushing his teeth. I thought, what if his favorite cartoon character starts talking? That was how Ami4kidz was born – we make a talking penguin plush that conveys messages for parents either immediately or as a set alarm. The experience of starting Ami4kidz made me realize that I have the power to innovate and act upon the problems I care about -- this process is so empowering and intriguing that I never stopped.
I am entrepreneurial, spontaneous, boisterous, caring, and curious. I love new ideas, scuba diving, deep conversations, and late-night hangouts. I will continue looking for new experiences and innovating; and this summer, I can see myself working in UI/UX design and user research in a fun and energetic environment.
